GHG emissions within the natural gas value chainDefinition
Less than 30% of greenhouse gas emissions are due to regasification, storage and transportation. Exploration and production represent almost half of the emissions. The rest of it (31%) results from the distribution of gas. Between 2010 and 2013, greenhouse gas emissions have decreased by almost 20%. It is interesting to underline that regasification and storage are not mandatory steps along the natural gas value chain.
